The National Archives and Library celebrated the 53rd Union Pledge Day of the United Arab Emirates. On this occasion, His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the National Archives and Library, affirmed that while celebrating the nation’s remarkable achievements—yielded with excellence across various fields over the past 53 years—the institution is determined to make its next phase a golden era, marked by accomplishments and contributions across all areas aligned with its vision, mission, goals, and duties. The National Library and Archives is moving toward the future, fulfilling its role in enriching knowledge societies and preserving the nation’s memory for future generations, relying on artificial intelligence applications and the latest technologies, and keeping pace with the development and progress witnessed by global archives. It will also continue its national role with a will that does not know the impossible, following the guidance of our wise leadership, which has placed the United Arab Emirates at the forefront of competitiveness indicators in various fields. His Excellency extended his warmest congratulations to our wise leadership and the people of the UAE, renewing his pledge to continue giving and achieving so that our beloved UAE remains at the forefront.
